MINDFULNESS – make time for an awesome habit today, don’t find it!

Today’s mobility work is to play around with down-dog and dolphin pose on a wall!

Both of these poses are profound shoulder openers and working your breath will help you get deep into the position.

You should feel a good hamstring stretch, which will tell you that you are hinging at the hips properly.

Today’s mindfulness work is to consider the difference between finding time and making time.

It’s so easy and common to say that you can’t find time to do X, or that you would love to start this new habit but you can’t find the time.

Unless you are a child, you are not going to simply find time. And even kids are terribly busy these days with homework!

Find is not found, it is carved from your day with care and attention. You will spend your time on what is important to you, whether you realize it or not.

If you realize that you’re four episodes deep into a Netflix binge, but you haven’t started that food prep on a lazy Sunday, then that tells you where your priority lies. You can even do both at the same time! Multitasking is great– and so are podcasts 🙂

Don’t look for time. If you want to do something, time will not appear out of the clouds to grant you permission to start that new routine or hobby.

Take time. Grab that time and run away like you stole it. You will never find it.
