MOBILITY – shoulder blade lax ball smash and floss, 4min/side

Give those shoulder blades/scaps some love! This is one of my favorites, which I admittedly don’t do nearly as much as I should.

Put as much weight as you can without making a stinky face while smashing and buckle up for the flossing! Move that elbow around and say hello to your scaps 🙂

MINDFULNESS – Consider the difference between being kind versus being right.

Think about the last time you were in the midst of a heated argument: were you trying to come to an understanding or were you trying to be right?

It’s easy to try to be right. It feels GREAT. Who doesn’t love having the last word? But, this pursuit of being right comes at the cost of being kind.

Being kind is allowing the other person to have the last word. It is letting something slide because creating a situation out of something small is not worth your mental energy. It’s a practice.

Inject some mindfulness into your day and realize when you are reacting rather than responding. If there is a good reason to be right, then let the world know! If you are just trying to be right for the sake of being right, then you might want to take a step back and just be kind.

Hold that hot potato until it’s just a cold potato.

You and I will fail at being kind, but we will only be failures if we stop trying.

Like this post if you introduce yourself to your scaps today!
